Camino Energy PurePlaytm Indices
February 21, 2008

Camino Energy's indices track Sustainable Energy Businesses. These are businesses that are (1) extending proven energy reserves and their use through non-conventional advanced technology, (2) utilizing renewable resources, or (3) enhancing the efficiency of energy use. These are activities that contribute to extending the energy use horizon by addressing the limiting factors of resource exhaustion and environmental impacts.

Equal Weight Tracking Indices

Sustainable Energy Businesses conduct a wide array of activities. Camino Energy maintains equal weight tracking indices where there are multiple Sustainable Energy Businesses focused on specific business activities, but there are not enough companies to form a robust, market-cap weighted index. The tracking indices are intended to represent pure plays and are also specified to avoid company overlap.

We currently compute two tracking indices using an equal weight (EW) method, in USD, as described in Standard & Poor's "Index Mathematics Methodology", July 2006. The indices are calculated from daily closing prices and "re-normed" after the rebalance to maintain index continuity. We reblance our EW indicies semi-annually. The indices include stocks from markets around the world where data is available to Camino. Currently Camino does not include Japanese stocks due to data availability.

For a specific stock to be included in a sub-sector tracking index the company has to (1) generate a material portion of its revenue, generally over 50%, from sustainable energy activities, (2) have a total market capitalization (not float adjusted) of at least $150 million USD at the time of inclusion, (3) trade on a recognized exchange for a minimum of three months, and (4) have adequate trading volume for reasonable liquidity. Companies that are in bankruptcy or are publicly traded project finance vehicles are excluded. Camino may consider business stage, profitability, or other factors when including or removing companies from a tracking index. Stocks falling below $100 million USD market capitalization will generally be removed from an index.

The global nature of the Camino indices requires further consideration. Indices are computed only on days when all relevant markets traded. Since the indices are equal weighted in USD, currency translation of market closing prices for non-US markets is required. This translation is performed using foreign exchange closing values as reported by MSN.

The tracking indices are rebalanced semi-annually in January and July. To maintain continuity of the index at a rebalance, the index is adjusted to account for the change in weightings as described in S&P. Camino has selected an arbitrary value of 100 for the indices at their inception.

Camino Energy may, at its discretion and at any time, change the companies in a sub-sector index. Changes may be motivated due to market capitalization, governance, profitability, or other events that would render the company not suitable for investment. In general alterations in an index will occur semi-annually during rebalancing.

Specific PurePlaytm Tracking Indices maintained by Camino include the following:

Index

Modified Market-cap Indices

The solar and renewable electricity sectors have matured to allow us to compute modified market capitalization (MMC) indices generally consistent with the method described in Standard & Poor's Clean Energy Index Methodology, August 2007. For more detail regarding our methodology please contact us to obtain "PurePlay Modified Market Capitalization Indices".
